2026 DVA Denture Cap Increase

Starting January 1, 2026, the Department of Veterans' Affairs has doubled the biennial monetary limit for high-cost dental and prosthetic items (including custom restorative work and certain premium denture devices) to $5,980.30 every two years. This ensures veteran patients can receive superior prosthetic materials and custom-balanced overdentures with full coverage and zero out-of-pocket expenses.

Common Questions

Do I have to pay anything out of pocket for dentures under DVA?

No. If you hold a valid DVA Gold Card, or a White Card with dental approval, your custom dentures, relines, and repairs are fully funded. We bill DVA directly, leaving you with zero out-of-pocket costs.

How often can I get new dentures funded by DVA?

DVA generally funds new dentures every 6 years if they are clinically necessary. Relines and emergency repairs are funded as needed under DVA guidelines.

Do I need a doctor's referral to get dentures at your clinic?

No referral is needed. If you hold a Gold Card, you can book an appointment directly with our dental prosthetists. We handle all DVA claims on-site.

Are premium denture materials covered by the DVA cap?

Yes. With the DVA cap increased in 2026 to $5,980.30 every two years, veterans can access high-quality, durable acrylics, metal partials, and precision-fitted options with full coverage.
